The Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, February 20th, 2024 at 9:00 am in the ADF&G Conference Room in Fairbanks located at 1300 College Road and by web/teleconference. This meeting is open to the public. 

Agenda items will include the following:

• ADFG staff updates

• Elections to fill vacant seats
  The chair has opened nominations, and any interested parties are encouraged to contact the regional coordinator and to attend this election meeting. 

• 2023-2024 Board of Game Proposals

• 2023-2024 Joint Board Proposals

• Other fisheries, wildlife, and committee business as needed

To be eligible to make nominations or vote in an election of a Fish & Game Advisory Committee, you must be a voting-age resident of the area served by the committee as defined in 5 AAC 96.910(10) and attending the election meeting by web/teleconference. The areas served by the Koyukuk River Fish and Game Advisory Committee as defined in 5 AAC 97.005 are Game Management Units 21 and 24 and the Upper Yukon River. Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
