The Tanana Rampart Manley Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet and hold elections by web/teleconference on Monday, January 29th, 2024 at 6:00 pm. This meeting is open to the public.

Voting will be conducted by a roll-call election. To be eligible to make nominations or vote in an election of a Fish & Game Advisory Committee you must be a voting-age resident of the area served by the committee as defined in 5 AAC 96.910(10) and attending the election meeting. The areas served by the Tanana Rampart Manley Fish and Game Advisory Committee as defined in 5 AAC 97.005 are Game Management Units 20, 21, 24, and 25, and the Upper Yukon River and the Tanana River for finfish. Agenda items will include the following:

• ADFG Staff Updates

• Elections to fill 9 expired and vacant seats.
  There are three designated seats each for Tanana and Rampart; two designated seats for Manley Hot Springs; and one undesignated seat. All 9 seats are up for election. 

• Officer elections to elect Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary positions

• Board of Fisheries Proposal 43 concerning hatchery production of pink salmon

• 2023-2024 Board of Game Proposals

• 2023-2024 Joint Board Proposals

• Other fisheries and wildlife business as needed

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
