The University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking proposals from consulting firms interested in providing professional programming, design, and construction administrative services for the renovation of the Kenai Peninsula College Ward Building Welding Lab to provide energy efficient HVAC and comply with current codes. Meet with the welding instructor and make sure all areas are functional for the current welding program. For example, the grinding area appears to need to have a wider access and the cutting tables do not have adequate ventilation.
The design services will include concept, schematic design, 35% cost estimate, design development, 65% cost estimate, construction drawings, bidding and permit assistance, and construction administration services. Disciplines will include Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Hazardous Materials, and possibly Structural and Civil.
