The Northern Region State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (Department), Division of Preconstruction Services is soliciting for a Contractor to assist in design development and perform subsequent construction of the Kotzebue to Cape Blossom Road project. This project is utilizing the Construction Manager General Contractor (CMGC) procurement method.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately June 2024 through December 2027 (Preconstruction Services), TBD through December 2027 (Construction Services).  Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $200,000 and $250,000 for Preconstruction Services and $20,000,000 or greater for Construction Services.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available MAY 2, 2024, and may be downloaded from the Construction Bidding Bid Calendar website at:  https://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/awp/awp-bids.cfm;  Or the RFP may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at the Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.  Persons residing outside the City of Fairbanks may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 451-2247 or TDD number 711 or 1-800-770-8973. (for Hearing Impaired, requires special equipment).  There is no charge for the RFP package.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE RFP FOR SUBMITTING PROPOSALS: Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received at the address indicated on the RFP no later than MAY 31, 2024, 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.
