The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to lease Lot 1A, Block 3, consisting of approximately 31,095 square feet (ADA- 72819 successive lease to ADA-70814), at Kotzebue Airport for five (5) years. Applicant: Cummings, LLC. Annual rent: $ 6,747.62 and any other associated fees. Authorized uses: aeronautical - Construction of a hangar/office building; air taxi and charter for passengers and cargo; aircraft parking and tiedowns; lease and rental of aircraft; maintenance, modification and overhaul of aircraft parts, and accessories; dispensing of aviation fuel and oil; pilot flight and ground instruction; sublease of space on the premises to authorized sublessees to perform any or all of the above services; sublease of office space for aviation businesses; and sublease of space for air taxi operations, including cargo loading and unloading aircraft maintenance by sublessees employees.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease term extension without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., May 9, 2024, after which the Department will determine whether or not to execute the lease.
