*DELAYED*&*POSTPONED*** Central Bering Sea Advisory Committee Meeting

*UPDATE* Flights are confirmed to be flying as of now. We plan to begin the meeting at 2:00 PM.

Today, December 12th, we are again experiencing travel difficulties. The Advisory Committee will try to meet today beginning at 12:00 PM. If we are unable to reach a quorum, the meeting may be postponed further. Please check back here for updates or call the Western Region Coordinator for more information.

Due to weather and travel complications this meeting has been rescheduled to December 12th & 13th  

When: Tuesday, December 12th, 2023 beginning at 9 AM and will continue on December 13th, 2023 at 9 AM.
Where: ADFG Bethel office Conference Room, 570 4th Ave, Bethel, AK 99559

When: Wednesday, November 15th, 2023 at 9:00 AM and
   Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at 9:00 AM

Agenda items will include the following:

  • Updates from ADF&G Wildlife and Fisheries staff
  • Discussion about Board of Game Proposals 
  • Discussion about Joint Board Proposals
  • Discussion about Federal Subsistence Management Program Wildlife Proposals
  • Other Business as necessary

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
