Northern Norton Sound Fish & Game Advisory Committee Meeting

No Quorum - meeting continued as a Work Session.

The meeting was called to order at 1:06 pm by Chair Charlie Lean, roll call taken with four (4) members present, determined a quorum was not present.  The Chair requested and agreed by members present to continue as a Work Session.

The Northern Norton Sound Fish and Game Advisory committee will hold a public meeting at the Northwest College Campus, Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 1:00 pm.

Agenda Items will include but are not limited to the following items:       

• Discussion and/or Musk Ox proposals TX 095 & 096 Proposals
• Musk Ox Caliber Use
• Caribou
• Moose Caliber use
• Review 23/24 schedule of Meetings and Call for Proposals regarding the hunting and trapping regulations.

Advisory Committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to the Alaska Board of Game and the Alaska Board of Fisheries.   All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues.  Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating            to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
