A subcommittee of the Chignik Fish and Game Advisory Committee will be holding daily public meetings in Anchorage at the Dena'ina Center starting on Monday, February 20, 2023, and extending through Saturday February 25, 2023.

The purpose of these meetings is to provide a forum for discussion and action on topics addressed at the Board of Fisheries Alaska Peninsula/Aleutian Islands/Chignik Finfish meeting.
Voting members of this subcommittee for the constitution of quorum consist of Austin Shangin, Benjamin Allen, Raechel Allen, and Axel Kopun.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encouraging youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
