The Lower Kuskokwim Fish and Game Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting in person at the ADFG office in Bethel and by teleconference and Zoom.

When: Wednesday January 25th, 2023 Beginning at 9:00 AM and continuing on Thursday January 26th
Where: Bethel ADFG Office Conference Room, 570 4th Ave. Bethel, AK 

Agenda items will include the following:

• Discussion of Board of Fisheries Alaska Peninsula, Aleutian Islands, Chignik Finfish Proposals
• Updates from Wildlife and Fisheries staff
• Other Board of Game and Board of Fisheries Proposals
• Other Business as needed

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.

This meeting is open to the public however, the COVID-19 virus still poses a serious risk to certain segments of the population. Due to limited space social distancing may be difficult. Any person who is experiencing flu-like symptoms or is considered high-risk is encouraged to attend the meeting via teleconference or Zoom.
