Central Bering Sea Advisory Committee Meeting

The Central Bering Sea Fish and Game Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting at the Yuut Elitnaurviat Trades Annex (Building 602, Akiachak Drive) in Bethel, AK

When: Thursday, November 3rd, 2022 at 9:00 AM 

The meeting may reconvene and continue the next morning only if necessary.

All participants will be placed into a waiting room until the meeting begins.

Participants who join the meeting after it has already begun will be let into the meeting by Board Support Staff who will monitor the meeting remotely.

Agenda items will include the following:

  • Discussion of Board of Fisheries Arctic, Yukon, and Kuskokwim Finfish Proposals
  • Discussion of Board of Fisheries Statewide Finfish Proposals
  • Updates from ADF&G Wildlife and Fisheries staff
  • Discussion of rising costs and how that affects the Advisory Committee
  • Other Business

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, and 4) cooperating and consulting with interested persons and organizations, including government agencies, and encourage youth and elder involvement in committee activities.
