Notice of Utility Application
The REGULATORY COMMISSION OF ALASKA (Commission) gives notice that on September 2, 2022, Granite Telecommunications, LLC (Granite), filed an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity. Granite proposes to provide competitive resold and facilities-based local exchange and exchange access telecommunications services within the State of Alaska. Docket No. U-22-079 was opened to address this matter.
In conjunction with its application, Granite filed a petition for confidential treatment of the financial and ownership information filed in support of its application. 3 AAC 48.040(b)(12) preemptively grants confidential treatment to financial records filed in support of an application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity to provide local exchange telecommunication services in a competitive local exchange market. Interested persons may file a response to the petition for confidential treatment with the Commission by 5:00 p.m. September 28, 2022.
The Commission has not assessed the completeness of the application. The Commission may determine whether the application is complete after the close of the public comment period.
