The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue an Owner Requested Limit approval (ORL) AQ1709ORL01 to TDX Adak Generating, LLC for the New Adak Power Plant under Alaska Statute 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Location: 51° 52’ 4.18” N -176° 38’ 25.23” W
Activity: Relocating power plant by starting up two new emission units. Limit only applies to one of the two new units.
Emissions: The potential to emit at the stationary source will not exceed 38.2 tpy NOx by limiting the hours of operation for one emission unit. This limit will also keep other regulated air pollutants below the minor permitting thresholds listed in 18 AAC 50.502.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC has made a preliminary decision to approve the ORL for the New Adak Power Plant.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents by the close of the public comment period. Written comments will be included in the record if received by close of the comment period. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if ADEC finds that good cause exists.
