INVITATION TO BID
Sealed bids for WCC Bldg 10 Roof Upgrade, Project Number 25RC201622, will be received before 2:00 p.m., May 18, 2022 at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.
This state funded project replaces the existing roof system at the Wildwood Correctional Center. Work includes a new EPDM roof system, foam insulation, roof hatches, mechanical roof penetration curbs and boots, and fall arresting anchor points.
The Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The Project substantial completion date will be October 31, 2022.
A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. for the Wildwood Correctional Center. Those interested need contact John Turley at john.turley@alaska.gov or 907-266-2171 prior to 1:00pm on Tuesday May 3, 2022 to register for the inspection and submit the clearance form, see attached. The form will be used to run a background check to allow access to the facility. Park in the building 10 parking lot and meet at the main entrance gate of the facility at 10 Chugach Ave., Kenai, AK 99611.
- Access to the correctional facility and surrounding area will be controlled. Participants should bring a face covering/mask and their driver’s license.
- Cell Phones are not allowed within the facility. They may be checked in and secured through facility personnel or be secured outside the facility.
- Photographs are allowed, but not on a cell phone camera. No photographs of the inmates are permitted.
- Other restrictions are explained in Section 01 54 00 and the security team will explain the security requirements for construction during the pre-bid conference. Persons who are unwilling to abide by facility security requirements, or who are identified as a security risk through the screening process, will not be allowed access to secured areas of the facility or site.

Due to security concerns, the plans will not be available to view or download from the DOT&PF advertising web site. Plans will only be available in hard copy from the DOT&PF Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, (907) 269-0408.
Bidding documents may be purchased for $50.00 per set, payable to the State of Alaska, from the Central Region Plans Room.
