Notice to Begin Engineering and Engineering Studies/Request for Public Comments
Parks Highway MP 206-209 Reconstruction Project

The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) proposes to reconstruct the Parks Highway from MP 206-209. The project includes replacement of the Pass Creek Bridge #0293 and will entail minor encroachment in the Pass Creek floodplain. The project anticipates using either the Drashner Pit (MS 52-2-037-2) at MP 132.5 Denali Highway or Panorama Mountain Pit #1 (MS 52-2-046-2) at MP 216.5 Parks Highway for material.  This project will provide improvements such as a rehabilitation of the roadway, widening the roadway to add shoulders, and improving drainage (cleaning and reconditioning ditches and repairing or replacing culverts) where necessary.
