ADA-09134 Proposal to Extend a State Airport Land Lease at Talkeetna Airport

The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to extend Lease ADA-09134, Lot 5, Block 2A, consisting of approximately 26,000 square feet, at Talkeetna Airport for an additional 5 years. Applicant: U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Annual rent: $2,987.44. Authorized uses: Aeronautical - Operation and maintenance of a staging, storing, and helicopter parking area used in connection with the Lessee's high-altitude search and rescue operations. Continued placement and maintenance of one (1) Convault 1,000 gallon above ground fuel storage tank, for fueling of Lessee's aircraft only. one container van to store related equipment and supplies and associated vehicle parking.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease term extension without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., October 25, 2021, after which the Department will determine whether or not to extend and amend the lease. The Department’s decision will be sent only to persons who submit written comment or objection to the Department, at the address and by the date and time specified in this notice, and include their return address.
