The Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) has accepted a complete certificate of need application for the health care facility construction project described below, and in accordance with 7 AAC 07.060 will conduct a review of the application received.

Project/Activity:  Construction of a Skilled Nursing Facility

Maple Springs Management, LLC is proposing to construct a skilled nursing facility in South Anchorage, Alaska.   The proposed skilled nursing facility will consist of 120 skilled nursing units.  A portion of the skilled nursing facility units will include hospice care. 

The proposed skilled nursing facility will be 106,000 square feet located at 11000 C Street, in Anchorage, Alaska.  The estimated start date for this proposed project is May 1, 2022 and the project completion end date is estimated to be August 1, 2024.  The estimated cost of the project is $59,501,000.

The application is complete in accordance with 7 AAC 07.050.  A staff analysis of the application and recommendation must be submitted to the Commissioner by March 29, 2021, unless additional time, not to exceed 30 days, is granted by the Commissioner.  A decision by the Commissioner must be made within 45 days of receipt of the staff recommendation unless additional public notice is given that more time is required for the Commissioner to make a decision.
