Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the Board of Nursing

On November 15, 2019, the Board of Nursing adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 44 of the Alaska Administrative Code.  The regulations update application review procedures, establish a reporting duty regarding the prescription drug monitoring program (PDMP), add three new circumstances of unprofessional conduct, and provide for administration of herbal nutritional supplements.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on February 4, 2020, and will go into effect on March 5, 2020.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 233, April 2020 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
