Kodiak Fish and Game Advisory Committee Meeting

The Kodiak Fish and Game Advisory Committee will reconvene at 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in the Kodiak ADF&G Chiniak conference room, to continue their agenda with discussion Kodiak salmon proposals.

The Kodiak Fish and Game Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting in the Kodiak ADF&G Chiniak conference room, 351 Research Court, Kodiak, AK on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 5:00pm. The AC may reconvene on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 5:00pm if needed to continue their agenda.

Agenda items will include the following:

  • Elections for AC members holding Kodiak Subsistence, Kodiak Small Boat Crab/Herring/Salmon, South End Set Net, Transporter/Sport Fish Charter, Concerned Citizen, and Alternate seats.
  • Elections for AC officers
  • Tabled Lower Cook Inlet Finfish proposals from the October 21, 2019 meeting.
  • Proposals for the Kodiak Finfish Meeting.
  • Other Kodiak AC business as needed.

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
