Please be advised that the Lower Kobuk Fish and Game Advisory Committee (AC) has rescheduled their public meeting in Noorvik to Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Noorvik IRA meeting room.
Agenda items include the following:

Discussion and submission of caribou and other proposals to the Board of Game for Game Management Unit (GMU) 23; DEADLINE: May 1, 2019;

Review of Wildlife Management topics pertinent to GMU 23;

Review and comment on the Kotzebue Sound AC’s proposals to amend the bull caribou season to be open year-round and to remove caribou calf harvest prohibition on abandoned or orphaned calves;
-
A review of current and upcoming moose and muskox research project.
Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fish and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to the Alaska Board of Game and the Alaska Board of Fisheries on regulations that may affect them. All meetings are open to the public. As the local forum, committees develop and/or evaluate regulatory proposals and provide recommendations to the appropriate board, discuss conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, advising the appropriate regional councils on resources and consulting with individuals, organization, and agencies.
