NOTICE OF ADOPTED CHANGES TO CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, PRESCRIPTION DRUG MONITORING PROGRAM REGISTRATION, AND USE OF PHARMACEUTICAL AGENTS, IN THE REGULATIONS OF THE BOARD OF EXAMINERS IN OPTOMETRY

On October 3, 2018, the Board of Examiners in Optometry adopted regulation changes to Title 12, Chapter 48 of the Alaska Administrative Code. The regulations concern changes regarding continuing education requirements, licensure requirements, prescription drug monitoring program controlled substance prescription database registration, and use of pharmaceutical agents.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on January 22, 2019, and will go into effect February 21, 2019. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 229, April 2019 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
