Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the State Medical Board

On May 3, 2018, the State Medical Board adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 40 of the Alaska Administrative Code.  The regulations concern licensure requirements, continuing medical education requirements, checklists, renewal requirements, and provisions on prescribing controlled substances.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on July 18, 2018, and will go into effect on August 17, 2018.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 227, October 2018 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
