The Kodiak Fish and Game Advisory Committee will be holding a public election meeting on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Alaska Department of Fish and Game Chiniak conference room located at 351 Research Court, Kodiak, AK

Agenda items will include the following:
- Seats due for election include: 1 Kodiak Processor, 1 Kodiak Large Boat Crab, 1 Kodiak Trawl Set, 1 South End Set Net, 1 Small Boat Crab/Herring/Salmon Seiner, 1 Concerned Citizen, and 2 Alternate Seats.
- Review of Proposals for the Board of Fisheries Statewide Dungeness Crab, Shrimp, and Other Miscellaneous Shellfish Meeting.
- Discussion of proposals for submission to the Board of Fisheries and Board of Game For the 2018-2019 board cycle.
- Other/miscellaneous AC business

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
