Notice of Public Meeting of the Kotzebue Sound Advisory Committee
The Kotzebue Sound Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Northwest Arctic Borough Assembly Room, Kotzebue, Alaska. Agenda items will include ADF&G staff and other reports, discussing and voting on proposals that have been submitted to the Boards of Game and Fisheries, and any other business that may properly come before the Committee. Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fish and wildlife issues and support, support as amended, oppose or not act on proposals submitted to the Boards of Game and Fish. Advisory committees are intended to provide a local forum in 1) developing regulatory proposals; 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and forwarding recommendations to the appropriate board; 3) provide a local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use including matters related to habitat; 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations and agencies.
