On June 17, 2016, the Board of Marine Pilots adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 56 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with definition for “overall length” and “length overall” for purposes of the pleasure craft exemption under AS 08.62.140, 08.62.180, 12 AAC 56.115, and 12 AAC 56.990.
The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on January 23, 2017, and will go into effect on February 22, 2017. See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.
The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 221, April 2017 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
