The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to issue Owner Requested Limit (ORL) authorization AQ1495ORL01 to Naknek Electric Association, Inc. for the Leader Creek Islanded Generation Plant under Alaska Statute 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.

Activity:         Generating electric power with diesel-fired reciprocating engines.

Emissions:     The potential to emit at the stationary source will not exceed any of the minor permit thresholds under 18 AAC 50.502(c)(1) and the operating permit thresholds under 18 AAC 50.326 due to the requested diesel fuel limit.

Preliminary Review: ADEC is making a preliminary decision to approve the ORL.

ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes it finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if ADEC finds that good cause exists.
