Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the Board of Marine Pilots

On May 17, 2016, the Board of Marine Pilots adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 56 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with qualifications for marine pilots, availability of marine pilots in the Western Alaska Region, and duties of marine pilots regarding collisions, allisions, and groundings.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on September 9, 2016, and will go into effect on October 9, 2016.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.  

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 220, January 2017 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
