Public comment and public hearing testimony for citizen initiative 15PFVR "An Act Allowing Qualified Individuals to Register to Vote When Applying for a Permanent Fund Dividend"

Permanent Fund Voter Registration Initiative

The hearings are required under a law passed by the Alaska State Legislature in 2010. Alaska Statute 15.45.195 requires the lieutenant governor to hold two or more public hearings concerning the initiative in each judicial district of the state, at least 30 days before the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 election. Each hearing must include the written or oral testimony of one supporter and one opponent of the initiative.

In addition to testimony already received during the public hearings, anyone may submit public comment on this initiative at any time through this public notice (click on the "Leave a Comment" links at the bottom of the notice or in the upper right corner under "Tools")

Comments will also be accepted by email to 15PFVR@alaska.gov or by regular postal mail to:

This notice will be regularly updated through November 7, 2016 to provide copies of all hearings testimony and any public comment received by the deadline.
