Notice of Adopted Changes to the Regulations of the Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives

On February 25, 2016, the Board of Certified Direct-Entry Midwives adopted regulation changes in Title 12, Chapter 14 of the Alaska Administrative Code, dealing with apprentice permits, scope of practice, supervised clinical experience, continuing education, prenatal care, intrapartum care, permitted practices, medications, emergency practices, emergency transport plans, and peer review.

The regulation changes were reviewed and approved by the Department of Law, signed and filed by the Lieutenant Governor on August 10, 2016, and will go into effect on September 9, 2016.  See attached copy of the filed version of the regulations.

The new regulation changes will be printed in Register 219, October 2016 of the Alaska Administrative Code.
