The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) proposes to renew Air Quality Control Operating Permit No. AQ0289TVP03 to the DeLong Mountain Regional Transportation System Port Facility (DMTS), under Alaska Statutes 46.14 and regulation 18 AAC 50.
Applicant: Teck Alaska Inc., 3105 Lakeshore Dr., Bldg. A, Suite 101, Anchorage, Alaska 99517
Location: 67° 34' North; 164° 03' West, within Cape Kruzenstern National Monument 55 miles northwest of Kotzebue, AK
Activity: The port stockpiles and conveys zinc and lead concentrate produced by the mine.
Application: August 24, 2015
Emissions: 118 tpy PM, 453 tpy NOx, 79 tpy SO2, 101 tpy CO, and 19 tpy VOCs.
ADEC Preliminary Review: Based on review of the application, ADEC drafted a preliminary permit decision for the DMTS.

Opportunity for Public Participation: Notice is also given that any interested person may present written statements relevant to the draft documents by the close of the public comment period. Written comments will be included in the record if received by close of the comment period. ADEC will consider all comments received and make any changes ADEC finds beneficial or necessary to assure compliance with 18 AAC 50 or State Law. Any person may request a public hearing and that hearing will be held if ADEC finds that good cause exists.
