Notice of Application for Renewal of an Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan, Petro Marine Services, Craig Bulk Plant Oil Terminal Facillity

An application for renewal of an Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan, under Alaska Statute 46.04.030 and in accordance with 18 AAC 75, has been received by the Department of Environmental Conservation. The details are as follow:

                Anchorage, AK  99507                                                                            

Proposed Activity: The preparation of an Oil Discharge Prevention and Contingency Plan, supported by adequate resources, which demonstrates the applicant's ability to plan to contain, control and clean up an oil discharge from the Petro Marine Services Craig Bulk Plant oil terminal facility.  This facility has a capacity of 1,387,428 gallons; its petroleum products are largely diesel and gasoline. 

Location: 110 J.T. Brown St., Craig Alaska.

Potential Results: A potential risk of oil spills entering the lands or waters of the state exists from this operation.

Activity identified as: State Contingency Plan Number 16-CP-5004.

Requests for additional information must be received by June 24, 2016 (day 24). Comments will be accepted until 5:00 pm ADT on June 29, 2016 (day 30).  It is the responsibility of the commenter to verify email submissions are received by the applicable deadline.  The public comment period will be extended if necessary in accordance with 18 AAC 75.455(d) and (e).

Electronic copies of the application are available for review at the department’s Anchorage office at 555 Cordova Street and the Juneau office at 410 Willoughby, Suite 316.
