Looking for statement in opposition to 15PFVR, "An Act Allowing Qualified Individuals to Register to Vote When Applying for a Permanent Fund Dividend"

The initiative 15PFVR, “An Act Allowing Qualified Individuals to Register to Vote When Applying for a Permanent Fund Dividend” is scheduled to appear in the 2016 Official Election Pamphlet.

Alaska Statute 15.58.020(a)(6)(E), allows for the submission of statements that advocate voter approval or rejection of the initiative in the Ballot Measure Pamphlet.  Submitted statements may not exceed 500 words.  All submissions will be considered, but we are looking for up to three authors to coordinate together a single final statement.

If you are interested in including a statement in opposition of this initiative in the Ballot Measure Pamphlet, please return the statement in opposition, along with the attached Authors of Initiative Statement form to my attention no later than Friday, June 24.  Electronic submission of statement via e-mail attachment is preferred.

A copy of the initiative information can be found at http://www.elections.alaska.gov/pbi_ini_status_list.php#15pfvr

If you have any questions, please call Bridget Smith at (907) 465-3051 or e-mail Bridget.Smith@alaska.gov.
