• State of Alaska issues contract Tuesday, June 14, 2016;
• Contract start Tuesday, June 28, 2016;
• First contractor work period Tuesday, June 28 to February 28, 2019;
• If exercised: renewal option work period March 1, 2019 to February 28, 2021.
There will be a pre-proposal site visit held at 10:00 AM, on Friday, April 22, 2016. No questions will be answered during the site visit. To attend the site visit be at the DOT shed located in the construction lot at 300 Whittier Street no later than 10:00 AM on Friday, April 22, 2016. There will be a safety presentation and state staff will then take the group to the gift shop space.
There will be a pre-proposal teleconference held at 1:30 PM, on Friday, April 29, 2016. This will be a teleconference and potential bidders are invited to attend the teleconference by calling (800) 315-6338, code 58654. The purpose of the conference is to discuss the work to be performed with the prospective offerors and allow them to ask questions concerning the RFP. Participants should read the RFP and attend the meeting prepared to discuss any concerns. Questions submitted in writing to robert.roys@alaska.gov more than 24 hours in advance will be answered in this conference. Questions that arise during the conference may or may not be answered during the conference. Questions and answers will be transcribed and sent to prospective offerors as soon as possible after the meeting.
