The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) is providing this supplemental public notice because of incorrect dates in the original notice.  Those dates have been revised and are now correct.

The ADEC is proposing to re-issue Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SW2A006-18, to the City of Delta Junction, to continue operation of the Class II Municipal Solid Waste Landfill.  The City submitted an updated permit renewal application in response to ADEC’s request that new design drawings be submitted prior to developing the north disposal cell at the landfill since modifications from the original design would be required.  A complete permit renewal application was submitted in response to the request.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The City of Delta Junction submitted a permit renewal application for the continued operation of the Class II Municipal Solid Waste Landfill (MSWLF).  Although the current permit is not due to expire until December 31, 2018, the City submitted a complete renewal application that included updated design drawings for developing the north cell, an updated operations plan, and an updated closure plan.  As such, these updates will result in modifications to original permit application materials and are the reason for this public notice.
