Sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work on Project No. 0650027/64119 & 0A45027/64264 HSIP: Chena Hot Springs Road Safety Improvements & HSIP: Parks Highway MP 321 Speed Feedback Sign, described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time, December 1, 2015, in the Office of the Contracts Engineer, Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.

The project consists of updating pass/no-pass striping and installing horizontal alignment warning signage to be compliant with the current Alaska Traffic Manual on Chena Hot Springs Road from just east of the Steese Expressway to the end of the route. Installing one radar speed feedback sign for each direction of travel between Mileposts (MP) 2 and 3, and installing optical speed bars in advance of curves at MP 8, 10.5, and 13.

Installing one radar speed feedback sign with solar power system for the southbound approach to the 45 MPH curves near Parks Highway MP 321.6.  Replacing signs impacted by speed feedback sign installation, and provide grading to the roadway for the sign base.

Engineer's Estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.

The project completion date is July 1, 2015.
