Invitation for Bids Number 1142015, Project Number D14119 FAKRR

Sealed bids, in single for the Fine Arts KUAC Restroom Renovations project will be received by the University of Alaska, until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2014, at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Work consists of demolition and renovation of the existing primary men’s and women’s restrooms adjacent to KUAC radio in Fine Arts Complex. The work includes architectural, mechanical and electrical components.

Bidders are advised that the University of Alaska has a procedure for accepting alternate products or systems prior to bid opening.  Acceptance of substitutions after award is limited.  See Instructions to Bidders and the General Conditions.

Funding for this project is available.

Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by contacting a reprographer directly.  The downloaded files may also be printed on the plan holder’s equipment.  Planholders are responsible for their own reproduction costs.

A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Office of Division of Design and Construction, University of Alaska, 590 University Avenue, 2nd Floor, Fairbanks, Alaska.

Bid security is required to be submitted with each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. State law requires a bid to be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible "Alaska Bidder" after a five percent (5%) preference and Alaska Products Preference have been applied.  Further instructions are contained within the Invitation for Bids.

The University of Alaska reserves the right to reject any or all bids, offers, or parts thereof it deems necessary, to waive any informality in the bid or offer received, and to award in the best interest of the University.
