The Governor's Council on Disabilities and Special Education will be holding a public meeting May 5-6, 2015 in Anchorage.
On Tuesday, May 5, from 10:30 AM-5 PM, and Wednesday, May 6, from 8:30 AM-5PM, the Council will hold its regular business meeting at Special Olympics of Alaska, 3200 Mountain View Drive, Anchorage, AK.
On Tuesday, May 5, from 5:30-7:00 PM, the Council will hold a community forum/public gathering at Special Olympics of Alaska in Anchorage where the public is invited to meet Council members, enjoy light refreshments, and provide public comment on any disability-related issue. In particular, the Council is interested in hearing from the public on issues related to Medicaid.
This portion of the meeting will be teleconferenced statewide. The public is invited to call 1-866-356-1755 and enter code 325 848 2953#. Once connected, announce yourself, and Council staff will place you in order to speak. As a courtesy to all who are trying to listen to public testimony, we ask that people mute their phones until it is their turn to speak. In order to allow as many people to testify who want, Individuals are limited to speaking for 3 minutes, and Council members may ask clarifying questions afterwards.
