The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) is proposing to issue Solid Waste Disposal Permit No. SWZA007-19, to the City of Anderson, to continue operation of the Anderson Sewage Solids Monofill.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

The City of Anderson submitted a permit renewal application for the continued operation of the Anderson Sewage Solids Monofill.  However, as specified in the recent permit renewal application, the City of Anderson is proposing to deposit an additional 4495 cubic yards of sewage solids at the monofill over the next 30 years at a rate of approximately 150 cubic yards per year.  This additional volume significantly increases the total volume of sewage solids planned for this monofill and is the reason for this public notice.

OPPORTUNITY FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION:
