The Department of Natural Resources (Department) gives notice under 11 AAC 83.311 of an application to form the Pikka Unit, under 11 AAC 83.306. The proposed unit is located between the Colville River Unit to the west, the Oooguruk Unit to the east, and the Placer and Tofkat units to the south. Repsol E&P USA Inc. (Repsol), the proposed Pikka Unit Operator, filed an application to form the Pikka Unit with the Division of Oil and Gas which was deemed complete on March 23, 2015. Repsol’s address is 2001 Timberloch Place, Suite 3000, The Woodlands, Texas 77380.
The proposed Pikka Unit covers approximately 63,304.47 in 31 State of Alaska and State of Alaska and Arctic Slope Regional Corporation oil and gas leases including all or portions of the following lands:

T13N-R5E, UM, Sections 1-3, 11-14 and 23-25

T14N-R6E, UM, Sections 19, 30 and 31
In accordance with 11 AAC 83.356, geological, geophysical, and engineering information were submitted in support of the application to form the Pikka Unit. The application will be approved if consistent with 11 AAC 83.303, and other applicable statutes and regulations. The Department charges a photocopy fee of $.25 per sheet 11 AAC 05.010(a)(16)(C).
Any person may file written comments on the application. Comments must be received by
4:30 p.m., Alaska Time, Monday April 27, 2015, and should be mailed to the Division of Oil and Gas, attention Kevin Pike, Unit Manager, at the above address. You may also submit comments via email to DOG.Units@alaska.gov. The Department will consider all timely written comments and evaluate the application based on the criteria in 11 AAC 83.303, 11 AAC 83.351 and 11 AAC83.356. Within 60 days after the close of the comment period, the Department will issue a written decision to approve or deny the unit formation application.
