Sealed bids in single copy for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work on Project No. 69518/0938004 &68048/0003(156) & RSA #68112; PSG: Haugen Drive And Bike PathImprovements; Nordic DriveRefurbishment; Nordic DriveSewerLine Improvements, described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time December 18, 2014, at the Construction Contracts Office,1st Floor, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau,Alaska.
This FederalState fundedproject will consist of:
69518 PSG: Haugen Driveand Bike Path Improvements
Rehabilitate the pavement on Haugen Drive from Nordic Drive to 8th Street.Construct new sidewalk from8th Street to 12th Street on the north side and from 8th Streetto the existing paved path on the south side. Replace existing sidewalks,curb and gutter, signage, andstorm drain system components as needed. Install newelectrolier andtwo flashing schoolbeacons.
Construct new asphalt shared usepath from the approximate terminusof the existing pathat the airportto Sandy Beach Road.
Rehabilitate the pavement on Haugen Drive fromtheairport to Sandy BeachRoad.
Major workitems for the basic bid include approximately 2,000 tons of ATB, 1,000 tons of Asphalt Concrete, 150 tons of Asphalt Cement,PG 58-28, 8,400 square yardsof pavement removal, 2,800 square yards ofsidewalk removaland replacement, and5,200 linear feet of curbandgutter removal andreplacement.
68048PSG: Nordic Drive Refurbishment: HaugenDrive to FerryTerminal
Rehabilitate the pavement on Nordic Drive from Haugen Drive to the Ferry Terminal. Replace existingguardrail, sidewalks, and curb and gutter. Replace or construct approximately 5 culverts and 7 inlets. Improve drainage by cleaning existing storm drain system and replacing selected inlet frames and grates. Major work items include approximately 5,000 tons of ATB, 2,500 tons of Asphalt Concrete, 400 tons of Asphalt Cement, PG 58-28, 21,000 square yards ofpavement cold planing, 4,500 square yards of sidewalk, and 8,200 linear feet of curb and gutter. The Petersburg Borough is includingutility work through aReimbursable Services Agreement that includes the relocation ofa sewer force main and replacementof an existing sewer gravity main.
TheEngineer's Estimate is over $5,000,000. All work shall be completed by September 15, 2016. The
DBEGoalforthis projectis 12.4%.
