Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Region Land Office has received an application for the following:
APPLICANT: Scott Lapiene Dba Mat-Su Trails Council Inc.
PROJECT NAME: LAS 29528
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Trail work will occur on the Eska Falls Trail.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Sections: 2,3,9,10 of Township 019 North, Range 003 East, of the Seward Meridian.
Section: 34 of Township 020 North, Range 003 East, of the Seward Meridian.
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: Cross-country travel of heavy equipment to include mini-excavator, mooruka, and compactor to facilitate trail improvements on the first 3/4 mile on the Eska Falls Trail.
PROPOSED DATES OF USE:
Start: May 1, 2014
End: September 30, 2014
DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: April 18, 2014
The public is invited to comment on the proposed activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the above address on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above. After review and adjudication, we may issue a permit with stipulations for the activity. The activity may be modified during the review and adjudication process.
