REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Sealed Proposals for Glenn Highway Capacity Improvements Design/Build, Project Number 54694, will be received until 4:00 p.m., April 25, 2014 in the offices of the Chief of Contracts at 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska.
Proposals will only be accepted from the three (3) pre-qualified proposers: Granite Construction Company, Kiewit Infrastructure West Co., and QAP.
This State-funded contract consists of all the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, and materials to design, construct, and warranty a new three lane bridge crossing Eagle River, adding a third through lane between Hiland and Artillery Road interchanges, reducing the road grade between Hiland interchange and the river and modifying or relocating the northbound on and off ramps at both interchanges to accommodate the new third lane. The Contracting Agency reserves the right to add construction of southbound improvements at a later date by Change Order.
The Engineer's Estimate is between $30,000,000 and $40,000,000. The Project completion date will be October 10, 2016.

Your company must register with the Central Region Plans Room by faxing your request to (907) 269-0425 or calling (907) 269-0408 or your proposal may not be accepted. Your fax must include your company name, contact name, mailing address, phone and fax number, and whether you are registering as a General, Subcontractor, or Supplier. You may not change or alter the downloaded proposal forms in any way. Electronic proposals will not be accepted.
Proposal documents may also be viewed at the DOT&PF offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau and obtained for $100.00 from the Central Region Plans Room, 4111 Aviation Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska before 4:30 p.m., (907) 269-0408.
