Grayling Anvik Holy Cross Shageluk Fish And Game Advisory Commitee Meeting And Election***New Date***

The GASH Advisory Committee will be holding a public meeting and election in
Anvik in the Blackwell School on Thursday, February 10, 2012 at 6:00 pm. This
meeting was initially scheduled to happen October 28, 2011, and December 6,
2011, and February 2, 2012 but was weathered out every time.

Agenda items will include the following items:

• Election of 2 Anvik Seats and 1 Undesignated
• Concerns from AC members and public
o Feral animals
o Wanton Waste
o Predation- bears/wolves
• Introduction of Biologist and Wood Bison Update- Tom Seaton, ADFG
• Update on WIRAC meeting- Ken Chase GASH AC; Josh Peirce, ADFG
• Yukon River Season Summery- Eric Newland, ADFG
• Proposals to submit for 2012/2013 BOG/BOF cycle
o 7” Mesh size
o Commercial Lamprey Fishery
o Pike fishing on the Yukon River near Holy Cross and Paimiut
• Update on Biological Data 21E-Josh Peirce, ADFG
• Federal/Innoko update-Jerry Hill and Bo Sloan, FWS
• Comment on BOG Proposals
• Draft letter to legislature-AC funding

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and wildlife
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. All meetings are open to the public. Advisory Committees are
intended to provide a local forum on fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose
includes: 1) developing regulatory proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory
proposals and making recommendations to the appropriate board, 3) providing a
local forum for fish and wildlife conservation and use, including matters
relating to habitat, 4) advising the appropriate regional council on resources,
and 5) consulting with individuals, organizations, and agencies.
