Kenai/Soldotna Fish & Game Advisory Committee

The Kenai/Soldotna Fish & Game Advisory Committee will meet on October 26th at
6:30 pm at the Soldotna Sports Center in the side meeting room. Jeff Selinger,
ADF&G Wildlife Conservation, will bring details of the implementation of the
intensive management plan for 15 A and C (Prop 35 & 36) for committee comment,
and any other proposals for BOG Arctic/Western Region meeting. Election of AC
officers will be held. Final thoughts on the Kasilof SUA and any response we
may have for it will be addressed. For more information contact Acting Chair

Advisory committees are local groups that meet to discuss fishing and hunting
issues and to provide recommendations to Alaska Board of Fisheries and Alaska
Board of Game. Advisory Committees are intended to provide a local forum on
fish and wildlife issues. Their purpose includes: 1) developing regulatory
proposals, 2) evaluating regulatory proposals and making recommendations to the
appropriate board, 3) providing a local forum for fish and wildlife
conservation and use, including matters relating to habitat, 4) advising the
appropriate regional council on resources, and 5) consulting with individuals,
organizations, and agencies.
